CICONF 2012 and Beyond!
Another year plus has quickly gone by. Where does the time go? It's mind boggling. As always, I have plenty of plans for the future, which are finally starting to get into gear. I know I've said this many times over the years, but things are changing. 2012 was meant to be my transition year, I'm trying to get out of the normal client development game and get into more app development and making things simple for clients, developers and users.
I'm going to be in San Francisco this weekend at CICONF 2012, hooking up with all of the West Coast CodeIgniter Developers. I'll try to impart some of my knowledge and experience and hopefully some of you will be able to take something positive away from it. If I can enlighten you guys with at least one nugget of insight, I think it'll be a great conference. Can't wait!
As for the rest of the year, I'm still in transition mode. I'm climbing mountains of work, I've got lots of things on the go. I need to reorganize and prioritize. I really want the remainder of the year to go out strong. I want to head into 2013 with a completely different outlook on how my business should be conducted and get myself on a better path for success.
I'm going to try and be more vocal. I want to communicate with you on a much broader scale. I need to get back to the community and get into more discussions. I love talking and learning, and helping everyone grow.

A Sign Of Life.
I've got plans. Big plans. The one thing I don't have is time. It's been over 4 months since I started my quest of world domination, and what have I got to show for it? Well a bunch of things started, a lot of things written out on paper, but not much concrete. But that's changing... more to come on that later.
What I'd like to do is make life easier for not only myself, but other developers. I don't consider other developers as competition, there's enough work for everyone, so I'm trying to focus on helping my fellow developers by creating tools that make things go quicker, smoother, better. For now, I'd like to present a simple Compact CSS Grid Generator based on some code by Michael Lange.

Happy New Year! It's been a long time since I've updated this site, and with good reason. I haven't had time. However, this update is an annoucement of epic proportions to make up for the last 3 years of silence.
Dark House Media is changing shape. I'm going a new direction, and starting fresh. It's a new economy, so I'm adapting to the environment. To put it bluntly, the market is saturated with companies like mine. It's hard to stay on top when there are so many of us fighting for it. I'm not bowing out, I'm just changing shape.
What does the future have in store? Plenty, but I cannot go into detail just yet. I have some new ideas that I think are going to make some impact, but that's all I can say for now. Stay tuned for exciting new developments.
I want to thank all of my past clients for sticking with me through the years. Here's to 2011, the year of rebuilding and restructuring.
